Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Wear what you like! Our average member dresses casually to service. You'll see our pastor in jeans and a collared shirt. Our members wear jeans, slacks, dresses, t-shirts and button downs. We are much more interested in learning about you than what you choose to wear!

How long is your service?

Our services typically start at 10:30 and end at 12pm.

What is the worship like?

Our worship is contemporary and we strive to provide a worship time where you are able to encounter the Lord, engage in congregational praise, and feel uplifted by the experience.

What is the preaching like?

Our pastor would like us to respond with "good." You should expect Bible based messages focused on teaching essentials of the faith, the context of the scriptures being read and always leading back to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Where do I park?

There is parking in front of the building and directly across the street in a gravel lot owned by the church.

What do we do with the kids?

We believe it is important for children to be a part of the church as a whole. For that reason, children remain in the service during worship. In fact, we open our service with a special song that the children lead by doing the motions on the stage. After worship you can either send your children right down the hall for a bible lesson during the message or you can keep them with you for the service. Our pastor enjoys the phrase, 'If there is no crying, the church is dying' and never concerned with a disruption from one of our little ones. On 5th Sundays and some holidays there is no children's lesson and children remain in the service for the message.

What about child safety?

We understand a parent's concern for their children's safety and want to take all steps we can to ensure all of the children who attend are safe. For that reason, all of our volunteers working with children have nation wide background checks completed before they begin to serve. In addition, we ask that new volunteers attend our church for at least 6 months before working with children. We also host children's church in our fellowship hall which is just a few steps from the sanctuary and is a large space where congregants will pass by if they leave the service. This helps ensure our volunteers are never in a position to be left alone with children. Our nursery is also connected to our children's room allowing volunteers to assist and provide accountability for each other. We also commit to report any suspected abuse or neglect to the relevant authorities as soon as we are made aware.

Is your church a part of a denomination or organization?

Our church is a member of the Assemblies of God, a cooperative fellowship of churches that affirm the 16 Fundamental Truths. Our church is self-governing and manages its own finances, pastoral selection and day-to-day business. The Assemblies of God provides important oversight, accountability, resources and missions coordination.
